This time of year, a lot of boats get "winterized" with a quick flush and an oil change. And that's fine - until spring rolls around and you're dealing with a cracked block or a seized impeller that nobody caught. We do it differently.

When we winterize, we go through the full system. That means pulling apart the cooling side and actually looking at what's in there. The debris you're seeing here - that's aquatic vegetation that got pulled through the raw water intake and was sitting in the system. Left alone, that kind of restriction quietly causes overheating issues that don't show up until you're already back on the water.

Hoses, clamps, fittings - we check all of it while we're in there. If something looks worn, cracked, or corroded, we flag it. You decide what to do with that information. But at least you know going into next season instead of finding out the hard way mid-summer.

Winterizing isn't just a checklist. It's the best window you have all year to catch small problems before they turn into big ones. We take that seriously, and we think you should too.

If you want your boat put away the right way this fall, we're the crew to call. We do this work because we know what a bad winterization job costs - and it's never worth the shortcut.
